FROM THE FOUNDER
I created the 57 Challenge for my dad, John, who died by suicide on April 29th, 2023. He was 57 years old.
For a long time, grief attached itself to that number.
I wanted to give it somewhere else to go.
So now every April 29, we take 57 and turn it into something we can do. 57 minutes. 57 miles. 57 acts of effort. Something meaningful. Something ridiculous. Something completely your own.
There's no perfect way to do this.
Because at the heart of this is one simple idea:
Showing up matters.
For yourself. For someone else. For someone you miss. For the people still here.
I can't change what happened. But together, we can choose what 57 becomes next.
I love you, Dad.

How you show up counts
- You do not need to be athletic.
- You do not need to raise money.
- You do not need to post online.
- You do not need to complete your 57 faster, farther, or better than anyone else.
- You can go all in.
- You can keep it quiet.
- You can do it alone.
- You can invite everyone you know.
If you showed up, you did it.

YOU SHOWED UP
Tell us what your 57 looked like, collect the badges that fit your day, and receive your personalized keepsake.
No proof. No perfect way. Just your 57.
THIS IS WHAT 57 BECOMES.
57 will always start with my dad. But your 57 belongs to you. Make it big. Keep it quiet. Share it with someone. Do it entirely on your own. Let it mean something — or let it simply be something you decided to do.
There is no perfect way to show up. The number is the invitation. What you do with it is yours.
The number is the invitation. Showing up together is the point.
